The Power of the Pause

The Power of the Pause | 212 Careers | Scoop.it
Here are three reasons to pause in the midst of our fast-paced, always-on world.
alfredo.gil@utp.edu.co's curator insight, September 25, 2020 10:07 PM
I found quite an interesting title. Since in today's society and everything moves very fast, we are always in a hurry, we ignore details, always the first thing we look for after waking up our cell phone to check emails, text messages, meetings, among others. moreover, our society always needs to be in constant motion to move forward but we must bear in mind that in order to keep moving and to be efficient, we must take breaks we must stop from time to time to refresh our ideas, to think clearly and to recover our energy, this will help us to be more productive, to be in a good mood, to have a fresh mind it is always necessary to take time off to spend with the people you love, doing what you like or just relax for a while too. This article also mentions something about some the moms say, which is a count to 10 when you get angry this is very true because these pauses help to relax the mind to think more clearly when making a decision, and at the moment of acting it is important to pause to reflect on what we are doing well and what we must improve and also to strengthen our relationships with other people. Finally, I want to remember and emphasize taking time off, take breaks during the day, take breaks to lower our emotions before making an important decision, and also to reflect on our lives and what we are doing in it.
