I selected this article from Curatti written by Tia Moreen because it explains how even students can start their own business venture.

How start a new business online while attending college.

So You Want to be a Student Entrepreneur?

You can be successful while studying for your degree. I agree that with the right knowledge and tools you can begin your own business.

Moreen explains the pros and cons of being a student entrepreneur and how to begin the process.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Those who are in their twenties are more apt to be risk takers. These students can leverage their connections with fellow classmates and professors.

  • Raising enough capital is one of the biggest challenges of starting a new business. Spending less time with friends and family is also a reality.

  • As a business owner you can learn a lot of new skills as you start to wear several hats. Not only are you the manager, but you are also the marketer, accountant, and financier.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Raymond Morin because it explains the growing trend of young entrepreneurs.

How Generation C is having a big impact on starting a new business online.

The Rise of the Independent Entrepreneur

Small business owners are on the rise, especially in North America. I agree that this raises new opportunities as entrepreneurship continues to grow.

Morin explains the impact of the Generation C business owner on our society and corporations.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • In the United States freelance workers have increased over the last decade. The self employed accounted for 30 percent of the workforce according to US Census Data.

  • The realm of entrepreneurship is currently dominated by millennials under the age of 35. Young baby boomers are jumping on this bandwagon and mimicking their successes.

  • As the younger generation has grown older and started families the need for flexible schedules and less commuting has increased.
