It is a constant struggle between getting kids ready for the real world by teaching them how to harness the power of social media and doing it safely. This article has some good points and some good suggestions about how to use social media in the classroom. I didn't realize that organizations like Nasa hosted live Twitter chats where kids can ask experts questions directly. What a great opportunity! I also plan to post the THINK acronym shared here in my classroom.
