I think the don't's are just as important as the do's in this piece. The key takeaway is that the individual is responsible for knowledge retention within their online learning environment. There are learner-specific levels of responsibility, integrity, accountability, and motivation required from each student in order to internally and externally develop themselves as distance learners.
