This is the first time I have heard about digital zines. For those who are also new to this trendy digital media in basic terms a zine is self published magazine.
I think a resource like this would be great for a business or english classroom. In terms of a business, students need to be able to adapt to survive in the business world that is forever changing. By creating a digital magazine a teacher could have students write articles in different styles such as report, media release, fact sheets etc. This could all be combined into a digital zine and easily accessed by others to gain feedback and share ideas.
The zine can also be a place where students can present their writing with a flare of individuality because they can choose their own fonts, templates, colours and layout. This would be a lot more interesting to read than a plain old word document!
