An extremely nearsighted view over the impacts of MOOCS.MOOCS are NOT mutually exclusive with personal contacts, they are complementary.

MOOC are another nice tool for the learning process. They are useful in the sense they expand our view of the process of transferring knowledge. They are not a threat, but a complementary opportunity to learning. Their use/abuse is what will determine its utility, as occurs with mobile devices or e-books.
