A new User Menu

This will make keeping track of each individual user’s grade history as well as the tracking of specified markers as easy as a click or two of the mouse.

Single-view feature
This allows you to make changes to user information or other specifics on a fast and efficient basis; there is no need clicking back and forth to get the job done.

Natural Weight Dispersment
This convenient feature handles everything from day-to-day assignment grades to hidden and excluded grades to grades given for extra-credit assignments, bringing them all together into on convenient balancing method.

Grader Report with improved features
The Gradebook and Grader Report features are now easily accessible on all devices, navigable through the simple use of scrolling technology. You can conduct any editing you need to right on the device as well, and it can now be done without repetitive loading and re-loading.

Enhancements to the Moodle Forum

Moodle’s Forum is a popular resource rich with information and support. Now you are able to reply or comment on Moodle forum posts via email interface, and you can include attachments, a feature which was not available on the forum before. Thread navigation has also been greatly simplified, making it so much easier to find specific statements within threads which are needed or desired. Now users are also able to subscribe to forums which are topic specific, enabling them to narrow their applicable focus appropriately.

Brand new Assignment, Choice, and Quiz Options

Now users are able to select more than one Choice option at a time, allowing students to be challenged appropriately. Moodle has improved the edit and completion settings in Quiz mode enabling easier, faster use for the administrator and teacher, and they have also provided educators with the ability to attach assignment specific files to different user accounts as needed. All of this can be taken care of in the ‘Assignment’ portion of the settings, and has proven to be a wonderful additional feature, as it enables the educator to not only expand on the individual teaching they are focusing on from person to person, but they are also able to conveniently add additional resources and other documents to the student’s file as needed on a hassle-free basis.

Moodle 2.8 Reporting & Analytics features

Now you can keep track of upcoming events and appointments with detailed logging features. These also make the grade tracking process incredible simple in many ways by organizing and averaging as specified and needed. You can also take advantage of upcoming events by subscribing to new ones with this feature as well. No more missing out on those you really want to participate in.

‘Cohorts’ tracking feature

Now administrators and educators alike are able to track all involved cohorts and any applicable data as needed. The need to search, sort, and scroll is minimized greatly as all Moodle 2.8 participants are as close as your mouse or touchscreen. You have the ability to create or upload new cohorts, and you now have a screen dedicated to the display of and easy access to your cohorts.
