La veille de contenu (la curation) reste pour moi une compétence-clé du 21e siècle. Ici en plus on combine deux outils éminents : scoop.it et pearltrees.

Scoop.it Tip of the Week - MAKE YOUR SCOOP VISUAL!

Scoop.it Tip of the Week - MAKE YOUR SCOOP VISUAL! | E-Learning-Inclusivo (Mashup) | Scoop.it

One of the best features of Scoop.it is the ability to add so many types of visual content to your scoops, images, videos, infographic, charts, maps, SlideShares and the list goes on.

Over the years I've tested using small images beside the text or using a full size image with text below. I have found that using a full size image not only gets the scoop more clicks but also more rescoops.

Try a video and have your reader stick around and maybe give your a rescoop. Like I did when I saw this great scoop that @Tyler Negus Snidow found on The New York Times site. http://sco.lt/8IeP1V

Haiku Deck & Scoopit Examples Of New SaaS Development Model

Haiku Deck & Scoopit Examples Of New SaaS Development Model | E-Learning-Inclusivo (Mashup) | Scoop.it

Working hard on a SaaS set of publishing tools and was analyzing what it takes to "cross the chasm" from unknown SaaS to successful, well loved tool. Here is what I found:

* Critical that a new tool create community.
* Haiku Deck demonstrates this idea with their feature gallery:
http://www.haikudeck.com/gallery/featured and Scoop.it with their posting wall.
* Community must scale in size and diversity.
* Diversity creates community "intelligence".
* Community intelligence helps monetize.
* Money helps create new tools.
* New tools help build community faster.
and so on creating a positive virtual cycle.

Tools can solve a problem like Haiku Deck (easy access to creative commons), plant a flag on an emerging trend (Scoop.it and Paper.li) and mashup scaled systems such as ZipCar.com.

Sources and Tags: Dennis O'Connor's Curating Secrets

Sources and Tags: Dennis O'Connor's Curating Secrets | E-Learning-Inclusivo (Mashup) | Scoop.it

There's no question that Dennis O'Connor has found much success on Scoop.it. It wasn't all coincidental, though. Dennis shared with us two of his best curation secrets and tricks:

1. Develop multiple sources for your topics
It's important to carefully think through the keywords that you set for your topic so that Scoop.it can crawl the web and provide you with interesting and relevant content and inspiration. In addition to taking full advantage of this, Dennis also uses other tools like Twitter, StumbleUpon, and Prismatic to find content to share on Scoop.it. Once he finds the content he wants to share with his audience, he uses Scoop.it as his social media hub to add value to that content and share it everywhere.

2. Tag your posts
Dennis takes a lot of time to tag each of his posts. This allows him, he explained, to assemble publications based upon his tagged topics. When he's using his information on Scoop.it for his E-learning classes, it's easy for him to filter his Scoop.it pages based upon different subjects and easily compile a list of posts and articles on appropriate topics to provide to his students. Something interesting that Dennis does with his tagged articles is to pull them by subject and create "special editions" of his topics on his blog for special classes and events that he is teaching.

SCOOPS --  I began using Scoop when I was defining myself a LITE FEET DANCER.  There was no single source of info about Lite Feet dance, a NYC Born Battle dance phenom and YouTube Sensation.  I created LITE FEET SCOOP TO reference for my own resume but also to provide anyone interested a link to the multitude of YOUTUBE Channels, Sound Cloud and personal sites dedicated to this unique art form and the talented dancers who participate.
