Where does customer loyalty come from?

When you successfully create a connection with your customers and employees, many of them might stay loyal for life -- and you'll have the chance to increase your overall profitability while building a solid foundation of brand promoters. But achieving that connection is no easy task. The companies that succeed are ones that stay true to their core values over the years and create a company that employees and customers are proud to associate with.

That's where company vision and mission statements come in. A mission statement is intended to clarify the 'what' and 'who' of a company, while a vision statement adds the 'why' and 'how' as well. As a company grows, its objectives and goals may change. Therefore, vision statements should be revised as needed to reflect the changing business culture as goals are met.

Check out some of the following company vision and mission statements for yourself -- and get inspired to write one for your brand.

Strategic planning is much easier than many people realise.  If you have an intimate knowledge of your business and are able to think pragmatically about your strengths and weaknesses, you should be able to create a strategic plan fairly easily.

Strategic planning is of great importance in the classroom too. Both teachers and students need to plan their work. With the teacher it is about planning for the whole year, and for the student it could be about planning for his or her research paper for the term. In all cases, planning continues to be a factor that can spell success or failure! While, no doubt this article is aimed at the business world, I see its relevance in Education too!

A first step in benefits realisation is being sure of what we are trying to achieve.  This article is useful in giving a step-by-step process for creating a strategic vision that doesn't end up as some generic, jargon-filled statement that is uninspiring to staff and clients alike.

Strategic planning must give three products:
1. Address: Define which should be directed towards the organization (Vision, Vision and Values).
2. Focus: In what ways the organization (objectives and goals) will concentrate.
3. Alignment: Align all resources (financial, material and human) of the company.

Bold but Flexible: How to Effectively Share Your Vision

Not too long ago, opinion researchers held a focus group experiment in two Colorado towns: Boulder, known for its left-leaning politics, and Colorado Springs, where views typically reflect a more rightward bent. Not surprisingly, the researchers found that when people talked about big, complex issues like climate change or same-sex marriage with others who thought the same way, they didn’t become smarter on the subject; they just became more set in their opinions.

Creating change requires that organizations effectively communicate their vision in a way that draws in both existing allies and "unusual suspects."

Interesante aportación (no se trata de recetar a otros nuestra visión,  se trata de mostrarla de forma aditiva, colaborativa...), así como la revista donde se publica
