When I lived in NYC I had the pleasure of working with the madly talented Brandon King, owner of Truckstop Media. He took me along to shoot b-roll one day. The interviewee? Mr. Franti... He answered the hotel door in bare feet and, upon introductions, reached down and gave me the biggest warmest hug. No one does that, at least no talent I had worked with. It really stuck in my memory... It was just before 911.
Some 15 years later, he just keeps bringing that big hearted love. I have a huge amount of respect for artists who are authentic and genuine through and through. He certainly is. I hope I have the opportunity to share that with him one of these days when he comes back to the Belly Up...
