Today, GRI launched the world’s first global standards for sustainability reporting, giving companies a common language for disclosing non-financial information. The GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards will enable companies around the world to be more transparent about their impacts on the economy, the environment and society. They will also help organizations make better decisions and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Via EcoVadis

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and consultants Radley Yeldar released the 2016 edition of “Reporting matters,” which found that the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines are still the most widely used among WBCSD members, with 80 percent of reporters using the G4 guidelines, and that nearly a third are communicating on the SDGs. Ten companies are using the SDG Compass to take action on the Global Goals. Via EcoVadis
