- "New Look is a new animated short that I created from a piece of comedy I wrote back in December of 1996. It's a very short sketch I created with a view to it being told as stand up comedy but I thought it was also an ideal piece to help me learn Crazy Talk Animator 2 (CTA2)." Click to watch movie.

It's so creative - i love it.
Musician Travis teamed up with a creative directing duo to put together a music video shot entirely using an animation projected onto the band’s breath in freezing temperatures. The creativity that went into this video was obviously two-fold. For one, somebody had to put together an animation that would work in this context and test it out. Then they had to figure out how to film it, making sure that the little man never ran out of hot air — that’s where the band came in.

Adding that extra bit of polish to your animations, or “plussing” them will take even the simplest animations to the next level. This is a great way of achieving a level of quality and consistency to your animations, no matter the content.

"Watch Me Move: The Animation Show," which organizers call the "most extensive animation show ever mounted," has both iconic clips — featuring the aforementioned Mouse, Simpson and Bunny — as well as lesser-known works that span the past 100-plus years. The show brings together industry pioneers, independent filmmakers and contemporary artists, including William Kentridge and Nathalie Djurberg, alongside commercial studios such as Walt Disney, Aardman and Pixar.

Here is a follow up post for those who haven't seen this yet.
Running just over an hour long, the video finds Burton giving feedback on the animated work by Canadian students, answering questions from the crowd, and talking about stop-motion animation. If you’re needing your Burton fix, this video’s sure to hit your sweet spot. And as always, this sort of generous amount of time with any filmmaker is usually fascinating and insightful.
